Meet the team

Nadia Kuritzén

I have always had a great interest and commitment to mathematics. Therefore, in recent years I have taken seriously how interest in the subject is decreasing and feel a desire to reverse the trend. I think we can do this by approaching mathematics in new and innovative ways that arouse interest.

Frank Sienkiewicz

Since I was little, I have loved mathematics and creativity. Today's children, however, rarely associate these two words with each other. This is something that MathMasters plans to change. We want to ignite the spark of curiosity and creativity that exists within every child and show how mathematics can change the world.

Anton Öberg

I am part of the team responsible for the Mathsters tests.  Having competed in national finals in other math competitions, I can say that I am proud to be a part of Mathsters’ unique concept, with problem-solving math competitions for younger ages.

John Ahlberg

I have always found math interesting and wanted to learn more. Mathsters an initiative I feel very strongly about, being able to present challenges and make the subject even more interesting and to be inspiring to students. In the way society is developing, I think knowledge and understanding of math will be very important for our future.

Thea Øglend

I’ve always really enjoyed school. I quickly noticed that those who were ahead didn't get to challenge themselves enough, and were held back. I think that Mathsters is a great competition that will help and boost the self-confidence of students in mathematics. It contributes to critical thinking as well as a fun group project in class. I am very happy to be part of a team that is so motivated to develop young people's full potential.

Emma Laurin

Since I was young, I’ve always been fascinated by how the world works. It is amazing to be a part of Mathsters which aims to spark similar interest in today's children. Through creative approaches and engaging methods, I believe we can introduce curiosity and present how science shapes our world.
